Singapore’s urban landscape evolves once more with Tengah, the newest addition to the West of Singapore. More than just a housing estate, Tengah blends sustainable living with nature. Let’s explore the latest developments around Tengah.

Welcome Home to Tengah

The first batch of residents have already begun settling into their new Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in the Plantation and Garden District! With several BTO projects ready, Tengah welcomes families to their next chapter, creating a palpable sense of excitement.

Fun Fact:
A total of of 8,839 flats have been completed in both Plantation and Garden Districts –  about 40% of the 23,000 total flats within Tengah!

Plantation District

This is where it begins. Plantation Acres, Plantation Grange, Plantation Village and Plantation Grove BTO projects have now sprung to life, boasting designs inspired by the area’s rich agricultural heritage.

Think earthy tones and rooftop gardens – a nod to Tengah’s past as a plantation area.

Garden District

The second batch of homes to be completed within Tengah, the Garden District is a haven for nature lovers inspired by the ‘garden’ theme. Residents of the Garden Vines, Garden Vale, Garden Court and Garden Terrace BTO projects are first to call Tengah’s Garden District their home sweet home.

Inspired by garden elements, the blocks are designed with leaf motifs and to reflect the various rooftop gardens located at different floors.

The Heartbeat of Tengah

At Tengah’s heart lies Plantation Plaza and the interconnected Plantation and Garden Farmways, forming the town’s vibrant core. These spaces are thoughtfully designed to bring residents together, fostering a strong sense of belonging and community.

Plantation Plaza, Tengah’s first neighbourhood centre, is already buzzing with activity. Residents can now enjoy convenient access to supermarkets, eateries and various retail shops right at their doorstep.

Plantation Plaza is Tengah’s first Neighbourhood Centre (NC), offering a wide variety of dining and retail options, to serve the needs of residents nearby.

Complementing Plantation Plaza are the Plantation Farmway and Garden Farmway that weave through the Tengah’s estates. When completed, these farmways will provide seamless pedestrian links and community spaces, encouraging neighbourly interactions.

The new open-air amphitheatre-like space located within Plantation Farmway provides a conducive space for gatherings and community events.

Play, Learn and Grow

With numerous play areas and common gardens, Tengah’s residential precincts form a vast playground, especially for families with young children. Nature-inspired, colourful HDB playgrounds are scattered throughout the town, sparking imagination and encouraging outdoor play.

Not your average playgrounds – think adventure towers, climbing nets, and more, which encourage children to explore and let their imaginations run wild.

But the fun doesn’t stop there! You can also find swings located on the rooftop gardens of some BTO developments within Tengah – a delight for both the young and the young at heart.

New homes in Tengah are designed with families in mind, incorporating essential amenities, including conveniently located childcare centres within each development.

Working with the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA),  two preschools at the Plantation Grange and Plantation Acres, began operations in August and September earlier this year.

Residents can expect two more preschools at the Plantation Village and Plantation Grove to open in 2025, with more preschools to be progressively ready within each BTO project at the Garden District.

Enhancing Connectivity

To help residents connect to nearby towns like Jurong East, Bukit Batok and Bukit Gombak and Beauty World MRT stations, Tengah now has a new bus interchange with a network of bus routes and three bus services – 870, 992 or 871 – that stops at various bus stops located within a 5-minute walk of their homes.

To further enhance connectivity from Tengah to the Central Business District, Tengah residents can also take the City Direct bus service 674, which connects Tengah to the Central Business District directly.

Tengah’s Next Chapter

As Tengah continues to grow, more exciting developments are on the horizon. More amenities and infrastructure in and around Tengah will be rolled out progressively to serve residents. This new town offers a glimpse into Singapore’s future community living, where modern lifestyles harmonise with nature and strong community bonds flourish.
